Dear President Peters,

I speak on behalf of our entire campus in expressing shock, sorrow, and anger over yesterday’s horrific act of violence. These unspeakable and cowardly acts seem especially horrific when they occur on school campuses that are meant to be safe, nurturing learning environments. Please accept our heartfelt condolences and prayers to all those who lost loved ones, to those who are injured, and to everyone whose lives have been forever changed. I only wish we could do more to help.
