U Doctoral Student Recognized for Sustainable Food Initiatives

Kathleen Hunt, sustainability coordinator for Dining Services at the University of Utah, was recently honored with the 2014 Green Champion Student Award for excellence in sustainable dining by the National Association of College and University Food Services. In addition to her role with Dining Services, Hunt is a communication doctoral candidate studying food security.

U Bennion Center Announces New Executive Director

The University of Utah announced that Dean McGovern will be the next executive director of the Lowell Bennion Community Service Center beginning Aug. 13. As executive director, McGovern will be responsible for managing the many operations of the center in the community and across campus, serving as the main liaison to U administration and the community advisory board.
