RALPH NADER TO SPEAK AT THE HINCKLEY INSTITUTE OF POLITICS

Quinney College of Law announce that Ralph Nader will speak Friday, April 27 at 11:30 a.m. in the Hinckley Caucus Room located in Orson Spencer Hall room 255 on the University of Utah campus. On April 10 at the Utah City Managers Association (UCMA) annual conference, University of Utah Master of Public Administration (MPA) students competed in and won the second annual competition for the Utah City Manager’s Cup.
Beating out BYU for the second consecutive year, student teams analyzed a real life case study that occurred in Orem this past year. The question before the Orem City Council was whether Orem should create a new school district, separate from their current home in Alpine School District.

After the War in Lebanon

The University of Utah Middle East Lecture Series continues with four talks addressing the problems and predicaments facing the Middle East and the United States in the aftermath of the July-August 2006 war in Lebanon. Focusing on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, U.S. policy in the Middle East, and Syria’s place in the new international environment, the lectures will take place at 3:00 p.m. in the Hinckley Caucus Room 255 Orson Spenser Hall (OSH). The lectures are free and open to the public.
